The "Ports" Tab Explained

The Ports tab provides a list of all identified ports associated with an organization’s attack surface.

When you click Ports on the left menu, you will see a list of all active ports that Attaxion discovered from scanning your root assets. From there, you can see details about each port and navigate to view all ports, including inactive ones.

What Details Are Available in the Ports Tab?

When Attaxion scans root assets, it also detects ports associated with various protocols, such as Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and User Datagram Protocol (UDP).

The Issues column shows the severity of security issues detected for each port. The relevant root assets and servers are in their respective columns.

Scrolling to the right will show more details about each port, including any tag you may have assigned and the first- and last-seen dates.

You can perform several actions and access additional views from the Ports tab.

You can filter the list according to asset name, severity issues, root asset, tags, and last- and first-seen dates.

When you click a specific port, its Asset details window opens. This window contains information, such as the number of times the port has been scanned and the discovery method and path.

From there, you can access different tabs, including Issues to view a list of all security weaknesses and vulnerabilities detected for the port, and Technologies to see the relevant technologies associated with the port. You can also click on other items—e.g., Discovery Graph, Dependency Graph, and Events logged—for more information related to the port.
