How to Connect Jira to Attaxion

You can integrate Attaxion with Atlassian Jira to create tickets for your support specialists. To do so, you need to set up the integration in Attaxion.

Attaxion offers to create support tickets with one click in Atlassian Jira from the “Vulnerability details” view.

To enable this functionality, you first need to integrate Attaxion with Jira.

How to Integrate Attaxion with Jira

To do that, go to https://app.attaxion.com/integrations and click “Configure” in the line that says “Jira Software”.

In the popup window that appears, fill in the following data:

  • URL (if your Atlassian account is called “example,” the URL will be example.atlassian.net).
  • Username (that’s the email address you used to sign up for Jira).
  • API token (that you’ve created in Jira, as described below).

  2. Click “Copy to clipboard,” then paste the token somewhere to save. Make sure to do that, because otherwise you won’t be able to access it.

Continue Integrating Attaxion with Jira

After you’re done with filling this information, Attaxion will attempt to connect to your Jira. If successful, in the same dialog box you’ll see two more fields that you’ll need to fill in:

  • Project key that you need to select from the dropdown menu (that’s the name of the project in Jira that you want the tickets to appear in. If you have just one project there, the dropdown will have just one option).
  • Issue type that you need to select from the dropdown menu (that’s the type of the entry in Jira that will appear when you’ll be adding tickets to Jira. Different entry types have different fields. Select the type that suits you best, or create a custom type in Jira and select it in the dropdown).

After you’ve completed these steps, click “Save and post test issue.” If the integration was successful, in the project that you’ve selected in Jira, you’ll find a ticket called “test Issue.”
